See Mars policy to develop a fully sustainable & traceable palm oil supply chain — one that is free from deforestation & environmental degradation.

A világ egyik vezető édesség, élelmiszer és kisállateledel gyártója, a Mars 20 millió dollár értékű anyagi és tárgyi adománnyal segíti a koronavírus-járvány elleni globális küzdelmet. A családi tulajdonban lévő vállalat három jótékonysági világszervezettel működik együtt az adományozás során.

Az ellátási láncon túlmutató fellépés támogatása

Setting out these expectations within our direct supply chain are important first steps. But, we aren’t satisfied if our suppliers continue to contribute to deforestation elsewhere in their operations. Aligned with our Palm Positive Plan, we are calling on our palm suppliers to prevent deforestation throughout their entire supply chain as a condition of doing business with Mars. We can’t expect them to flip a switch overnight, but we believe that if enough buyers begin to pressure their suppliers for action, we can reach a tipping point for sector-wide change.

Egyszerűsítés és ellenőrzés

Over the past several years, Mars has been on a journey to map our palm oil supply chain. Today, we’ve achieved 98% traceability to the mill level, and since 2018, we have published our full mill lists to show our progress. We had more than 1,500 mills supplying raw material, a number far too complex to manage, especially for a company that uses only 0.1% of the world’s palm oil.

CGF-jelentés a kényszermunka kockázatairól a pálmaolajban

A new report, commissioned by the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), has found that there are risks of forced labor in the palm sector in Indonesia and Malaysia. Through the Consumer Goods Forum’s Palm Oil Taskforce, Mars supported this research, as part of our ongoing commitment to advance respect for human rights.
